December whispers of treachery
December clouds are now covering me

Adding a better explanation for the connection of the song and the deviation..
I've always loved this song, and I really think it's something so many people could really just listen to, and find themselves relating to the song and its contents.
To me, this song refers to the end of a relationship. It doesn't necessarily have to be a love relationship, but any relationship between two people. Things have turned cold, and the relationship has gone wrong.
One of them wants the other to forget them, their past, and everything that went along with it, and move on, despite how difficult it may be.
The rose represents the beauty of the relationship and the girl is looking back, ready to turn around and forget the one colorful thing left in her cold world.
-I know there are so many interpretations of this song, and this is just mine..
I hope you can look at it with open minds :]
